What to Know About Chile

We hadn’t actually planned to dip into Chile on our trip but it turned out we spent close to a month there, and that is a testament to the beauty, order, and friendliness that you find there. Here are some tips we feel would be useful to know if you are planning to go to Chile.…

Our Time in Chiloe

Making our way through Chile, we decided to check out the Chiloe archipelago. Chiloe is a unique gem in Chile, known for it’s distinctive folklore, cuisine and architecture. We certainly felt that it had a different vibe from what we’d seen in the other parts of Chile, and were quite welcomed by the locals. We…

Feeling at Home in Puerto Varas

We rolled into Puerto Varas with little expectation. The weather wasn’t conducive to do many of the activities this town is known for (and frankly after the epic volcano adventure in Pucon we were happy to take it easy). Volcanoes and Some Honesty

Hello there. This is Ewan at the helm for a post about the outstanding street art here in Valparaiso. We’d heard from a few people before arriving about the abundance of graffiti and I was excited. As you may know I’ve only written two previous posts for the blog and they were both on the…

Santiago 2.0

Today was our last day in Santiago as we head tomorrow to Valparaiso.  While the week was kind of overcast and smoggy, mother nature decided the weekend should be bright and warm.  It was perfect wandering weather.  I’m going to miss this city.

We Love Santiago

Santiago has been perfect. I would even hazard to say that it is my favourite city (so far) in South America. It’s not as though we’ve taken advantage of everything there is to see and do here. But the city just has a feel to it that we love. I am sure our love…
